Production Process

Using 100% high-quality native tungsten carbide and cobalt powder
We start with 100% high-purity native tungsten carbide and cobalt powder to ensure the highest quality and performance from the very first step.

Wet milling: Different material powders are put into the equipment for wet milling according to a certain proportion.
We wet mill tungsten carbide and cobalt powders with a grinding agent to achieve a uniform, fine particle mixture for consistent performance and quality.

Obtain a uniformly mixed wet material with consistent particle size
The wet mix after ball milling is a thick, uniform slurry where tungsten carbide and cobalt particles are fully blended, with fine particle size and controlled consistency—ready for drying.

Drying: The milled slurry is dried using a spray tower to remove excess impurities.
Spray drying removes residual moisture and grinding aids from the slurry, producing dry, uniform granules with improved powder bonding for optimal pressing and sintering.

Thoroughly mixed dry ingredients
At this stage, tungsten carbide and cobalt powders are uniformly fused into a dry blend, setting the foundation for strong, defect-free compacts.

Pressing: Using a mold to press the mixture into a green compact.
Using custom molds and controlled pressure, the powder mixture is pressed into dense green compacts, crucial for defect-free sintering.

Sintering: The prepared green compact is sintered using a vacuum sintering furnace. During this process, the compact hardens, shrinks in volume, and becomes the familiar blank.
Vacuum sintering melts cobalt binder to fuse tungsten carbide grains tightly, producing dense, durable blanks with precise temperature and pressure control.

Grinding and polishing using professional machine tools for different sizes of blanks, sharpening, etc.
Professional grinding and polishing shape and sharpen the sintered blanks, defining the tool’s final form and precision.

Finished product
